Tee Box Laser Levelling
Over time, golf tee boxes can become uneven through years of play, maintenance operations and natural settlement. Worn or sloping teeing areas not only affect presentation but also reduce the quality of the playing experience, making it difficult for golfers to find a consistently level stance. Laser levelling is an effective solution, restoring tee boxes to the precise levels required for both playability and appearance.
Premier Turfing has extensive experience in the renovation and laser levelling of golf tee boxes. Using precision laser-guided equipment, we carefully strip the existing surface, regrade the tee to the correct levels and re-establish the playing surface using either high-quality turf or seed, depending on the client's requirements. The result is a perfectly level, free-draining tee box that delivers improved playability, outstanding presentation and long-term performance.
The tee box is surveyed to assess existing levels, drainage and surface condition. The required finished levels and falls are then agreed.
The existing turf and upper surface layer are carefully stripped away. Any unsuitable or contaminated material is removed.
The exposed tee base is cultivated and prepared for grading. Additional rootzone or suitable material is added where required.
With the tee box stripped, this is the ideal opportunity to reposition or upgrade irrigation sprinklers. Any adjustments are made to improve coverage and accommodate the new tee layout.
Laser-guided machinery is used to shape the tee box to precise levels and falls. This creates a smooth, consistent and accurately finished surface.
The graded surface is consolidated and checked for accuracy. Final adjustments are made before re-establishment.
The tee box is re-established using high-quality turf or specialist grass seed. The most suitable option is selected according to budget, timing and seasonal conditions.
The new surface is watered, maintained and allowed to establish. Once ready, the tee box is returned to play with improved levels, presentation and performance.
